Harriet Manasa is a trainee History and English teacher. Brought up in London, Harriet studied at the University of Edinburgh and Birkbeck College, through which she became a qualified Creative Writing Counsellor. Harriet is drawn to lyrical poetry that investigates science, the environment, history and art.  A former communications professional, Harriet was fortunate to discover the riches of Australian poetry and fiction when she worked for the University of Queensland Press.
