beach spinifex adrift

 

a red-capped dotterel 

disappearing into thin distance

 

sun splashes final light

a termination – or rather

a juncture

 

venus bright (there’s talk

of alignment)

 

I see other solid lights

 

mars

mercury 

saturn

jupiter

 

(conjecture on my part)

some star-sparkle

predicts southern cross

 

waning gibbous yet to rise

 

offer compassion

         /forgiveness

 

spinifex floats out to sea
