Damen O’Brien is a multi-award-winning poet based in Brisbane.  Damen’s prizes include the Moth Poetry Prize, the Newcastle Poetry Prize and the Val Vallis Poetry Prize.  Damen’s first book, Animals With Human Voices, was published in 2021 through Recent Work Press.
