Phil Brown is the Arts Editor of The Courier-Mail based in Brisbane. He has published two books of verse – Plastic Parables and An Accident in the Evening. His poetry has been published in journals and newspapers including Poetry Australia, The Bulletin, The Weekend Australian and other publications. His journalism has been published widely in Australia and internationally including Time magazine, The South China Morning Post, The Sydney Morning Herald, The Australian and, among other outlets, The Courier-Mail. He is the author of a series of memoirs the most recent of which, The Kowloon Kid : A Hong Kong Childhood, was published by Transit Lounge in 2019.
