Calm

By Tasos Leivaditis

What need have I of imagination, I thought to myself, newspapers every day report so many shocking things — since then I have been at peace, I brush my teeth at night and I take my sleeping pill with a bit of milk, as directed by the doctor. And in the morning, rested and refreshed, I fold my bedsheet just like after an execution.
