Brenda Saunders is a Wiradjuri writer and artist from Sydney. She has written three poetry collections, the most recent ‘Inland Sea’ (Ginninderra Press, 2021). Her poetry appears regularly in anthologies and journals both on-line and in print, including The Best Prose Poems 2021 and the Best Science Writing 2021. Brenda has won several prizes including the 2014 Scanlon Book Prize (Australian Poetry), the 2018 Oodgeroo Noonuccal Prize (Queensland Poetry) and her prose poems and microfiction  have featured in short films, (Voices of Women 2021). Brenda is a mentor for Black Cockatoo, the Emerging Indigenous Poetry site at Verity La.
